Currently supported platforms: LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.

How to Connect a Social Media Account

  1. Go to User → Connections in the left sidebar.

  2. Find the platform you want to connect.

  3. Click Connect.

  4. Log in with your account credentials and approve all requested permissions.

  5. Once permissions are granted, your account or page will appear in the Profiles section.

  6. Click Connect next to the specific profile you want to use.

A green “Connected” label indicates a successful connection.

Platform-Specific Setup

LinkedIn

  • You can connect both personal profiles and company pages.

  • During connection, LinkedIn will ask for publishing and access permissions — these must be accepted for scheduling and posting to work.

  • If your company page doesn’t appear, make sure you have Super Admin access on LinkedIn.

X (Twitter)

  • Click Connect and authorize Creaitor to access your X account.

  • If you manage multiple accounts, ensure you are logged in to the correct one in your browser before starting the connection.

  • Once connected, you can schedule and publish text, image, and link posts.

Facebook

  • Creaitor connects through Facebook Pages, not personal profiles.

  • You must be an Admin of the Page to connect it.

To connect:

  1. Click Connect next to Facebook.

  2. Log in to your Facebook account when prompted.

  3. Grant Creaitor all requested permissions and select all Pages you want to manage.

  4. Return to Creaitor — your Pages should appear under Profiles.

If your Page does not appear, see the troubleshooting section below.

Instagram

  • Instagram Business accounts are supported via Facebook’s API.

  • Before connecting, make sure:

    • Your Instagram account is set to Business or Creator.

    • It is linked to a Facebook Page you manage.

  • Log in to Facebook when prompted and approve the requested permissions.

  • Once connected, your Instagram profile will appear in Creaitor.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

1. You do not have the correct role or permissions

  • For Facebook Pages, you must have Admin or Full Control access.

  • For LinkedIn Pages, you need Super Admin access.

  • For Instagram, the account must be linked to a Facebook Page you manage.

  • For X, make sure you’re logged into the right profile in your browser.

2. Permissions were not granted during setup

If you clicked “Continue” too quickly during setup, Facebook or LinkedIn may not have saved full permissions.

To fix this:

  1. Go to the platform’s settings:

    • Facebook: Settings → Business Integrations

    • LinkedIn: Settings → Permitted Services

  2. Find Creaitor in the list.

  3. Edit permissions and ensure all pages or profiles you want to connect are selected.

  4. Return to Creaitor and reconnect the account.

3. Business Manager restrictions (Facebook/Instagram)

If your Page is part of a Meta Business Suite, make sure you have:

  • Facebook Access → Full Control, or

  • Partner Access with “Manage Page” permissions.

4. Two-factor authentication required

Some business accounts require two-factor authentication (2FA) before allowing integrations.
Enable 2FA in your platform’s security settings, then reconnect.

5. Cached or outdated permissions

If you’ve recently changed account roles or added new Pages, remove and reconnect the integration:

  1. In Creaitor, click Disconnect next to the platform.

  2. Refresh your browser.

  3. Click Connect again to reauthorize with updated access.

6. General connection tips

  • Use a desktop browser when connecting accounts.

  • Disable any pop-up blockers or browser extensions that may interfere with login windows.

  • If issues persist, clear cookies for both the platform and Creaitor before reconnecting.
