This insight allows you to create highly relevant, search-optimized content that resonates with your readers and boosts your visibility.
Here is how it works:
How to Use Creaitor's Keyword Research Tool
To access the Keyword Research Tool, click SEO in the left-side menu and select Keyword Research.
The Keyword Research Dashboard
Once on the main dashboard, you’ll see an overview of your past research activity, including:
Total Keyword Researches – The total number of research queries you’ve run.
Total Analyzed Keywords – The sum of all keywords the tool has analyzed for you.
Available Credits – Your remaining credits, with an option to purchase more if needed.
Below these metrics, you’ll find a list of your previously researched keywords along with their associated location and date of research. You can use the search bar on the right to quickly locate a specific keyword in your history.
Start a New Keyword Analysis
To start a new keyword research, click the New button in the top-right corner. From there, you can enter your desired keyword and set the location to tailor results to a specific market.
If your target market supports multiple languages (e.g., Canada, Switzerland), you can choose the specific language in which you want to perform the keyword analysis.
Click the Start button and the tool will run the analysis. Depending on the complexity of the keyword and target market, the process may take up to a minute. You can monitor its progress directly in the results list.
Once the analysis is ready, the tool will return detailed keyword clusters and related metrics. This helps you decide which terms to target for maximum impact.
What is a keyword cluster? Keyword clusters are generated by our AI algorithm based on the initial keyword you submitted for analysis. Each cluster is made up of slight variations of keywords that signal the same search intent of a user. Essentially, we are including variations of the same keyword which we think will lead to the user's desired search result. With that we are expanding the addressable audience of your content.
Understanding Keyword Clusters
When your keyword research is complete, the tool groups the results into keyword clusters — collections of closely related keywords that share similar search intent. Each cluster is displayed in its own card, showing:
Cluster Name – A label summarizing the main topic (e.g., Digital And Content Marketing, Digital Marketing Agency).
Total Search Volume – The combined search volume of all keywords in the cluster, giving you a quick indication of potential traffic.
Keyword List – Individual keywords within the cluster, along with their specific search volumes, so you can identify high-value terms at a glance.
By analyzing these clusters, you can structure your content around a central theme while naturally incorporating multiple relevant keywords. This not only helps you cover the topic more comprehensively but can also boost your SEO rankings.
Each cluster card also includes the “Start SERP Beater” button, so you can instantly move into competitor analysis and SERP insights for that specific cluster.
Viewing a Keyword Cluster in Detail
To get a detailed view of a keyword cluster, click on the expand icon in the upper right corner of a cluster:
Next, the detailed view opens, showing the keywords grouped under that topic.
At the top, you’ll see the Total Search Cluster volume, which sums up the combined monthly searches for all keywords in the cluster.
Below, each keyword is listed along with:
Competition Level – Indicates how competitive the keyword is (e.g., Low, Medium, High). This helps you prioritize easier-to-rank terms.
Search Volume – The estimated average number of searches for the keyword per month.
Monthly Searches Graph – A visual trend indicator showing how the keyword’s popularity changes over time.
You can select one or multiple keywords from the list for further actions. At the bottom right, the “Start SERP Beater” button lets you immediately begin analyzing the search engine results pages (SERPs) for the selected keyword to create a SEO-optimized article.
